new to catty

Hello my son and nephew want to get themselves a catty. I would like one aswell so the question is what would you recomend for starting out ages 10, 14, close to 50 thanks in advance

Big and little both excellent catty,s give you the option of all the different bands and styles, also look up a lad on YouTube called catapult carnage he’s a top boy and does some good revues on all the major makes and models ATB

To be truly honest tried a load in the years , I have theses 4 now first from the left is a gamekeeper John second is one from Wayne at catty shack and other 2 are cheap ones. And i shoot more game and have done for a while with my 3rd one from left to right and it was £8 off eBay as the catty shack was close to £50… my advice ye dont have to spend a lot. And keep the bands pretty light Cheers Jamie

As I was advised on here light bands really helps especially to start. Also as grey said this fella talks lot of sense and really helps

You can get snide scouts on eBay for around ten pounds sterling from China I,ve had a few and they are good

A couple of weeks ago i got one of gamekeeper johns bloodstopper ghost cattys ; £20 delivered ready to shoot . Personally i'm very pleased with it ; take a look on youtube.

Alter trying a few different catapults I’d also go with the scout lt. I’d start learning “OTT” over the top, and eventually buy your own band making tools which are cheap, it’s easy to do if not a bid fiddly at first and they’ll have paid for themselves in no time.

Sorry can’t add links but this is what your after, though they seem to have jumped in price rather a lot, don’t know how much a genuine simple shot one is

Or this I have and just replaced the bands the Frame shoots spot on. Cheap as chips and had some good sport atb jamie

Got one of these and would highly recommend them and find i am more accurate with the narrow forks than other catapults i have with wider forks.
