Weekends boom stick event.

Recommended Posts

Bit quiet here so although posted elsewhere  here is last weekends muzzleloader activities.

It was very near to dark for my eyes when Charlie walked into me and me dog! It run away unsure what we were but I squeaked and it came back for another look all be it 50yards away on a bank side. I could hardly  see it! Just a long shape really only a seasoned fox man would notice!

The ten gauge burst into song with orange flames and white smoke. The fox trotted off but not bolted, I knew it was hit by one of the 40 #4 buck shot or more.

I released the hound, my 13" micro lurcher! When I rounded the hill and about 300yds from the shot I could hear my dog baying the fox!

The little dog held a fatally wounded fox bigger than her for several  minutes until I could end it.

A 10g muzzleloader is a formidable gun and is a blast to shoot.
