Director- Countryside Centre partnerships

Radley College is an independent all-boys boarding school situated 5 miles south of Oxford.  The school’s original Countryside Centre opened in 2006 with the aim to provide practical hands-on experience of animal husbandry.  In 2018 a purpose-built new Centre was completed, designed to form a traditional protective cluster of agricultural buildings, about a single entrance which opens into a small farmyard with open fields stretching behind.

As part of the school’s Partnership strategy we are looking for someone to oversee an ambitious and significantly enhanced programme.  We are aiming for it to become a hub for the local community and a recognised centre of excellence for the provision of opportunities for disadvantaged communities and groups to access the countryside.

As well as having hands-on experience, the successful candidate will have day-to-day strategic and operational responsibility, with line management responsibility for both the Countryside Centre Manger and the Countryside Centre Assistant.

Further details, including an application form, are on the school’s website: www.radley.org.uk

Radley College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
