Nicepix 5,650
I can see now why you don't need a comb. You've either got a super sized rat or a smaller cage than I thought. Quote Link to post

I thought most them cages came as standard? Its shy of 8” in height. 17” long and 9” wide. Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
I'll check the dimensions of mine in the morning. They do several sizes, and two types of door closures. The mouse trap has bars wide enough for mice to get through One thing I do is secure the large door with wire. I had one trap where I could see evidence of a rat having pushed the door open enough to squeeze through. It left a bit of fur and grease behind. Quote Link to post

Are you talking about the door at the rear of the trap that you would use to put bait in or take the dead rat out? Quote Link to post
Nicepix 5,650
Yes. On that trap it has two thin springs with hooks that latch into the body of the trap. There is another type with a single more substantial bar that is a lot more secure. Edit I see your trap has two bars. No problem with that type.
