They give the sizes, in mm. What I need to know is the pretty fukking precise height, internally, once they're put one inside the other.

I have an egg box here. 2 3/4" high. It looks damn close. But, I'm thinking it may be that shade too high to safely put inside the tins? (Thinking about it? Factoring in the folded handle? Drawing board, isn't it? )

If it’s the fact you want to keep safe or transport half a dozen eggs then there are plastic moulded egg cases for this very issue. I use one for my camping trips.
