German Short-Haired Pointer x Bavarian Springer (Bavarian Mountain hound x Springer Spaniel. 2 Dogs, 3 Bitches. Entire litter. Pups are so even I’ll keep the last one left. 8 weeks old on 15th Nov, microchipped and vaccinated, ready to go to good homes. Pups are bursting with health and vitality with strong feet, great bone and conformation. 1 Black dog. 1 Chocolate Brown Dog. 1 Chocolate Brown bitch. 2 White and brown salt n pepper coloured bitches (Pointer colouring). Parents are from pure working lines, Dad (pure German short-haired Pointer) is a great gun dog (video available) and mum was purchased especially for tracking (people) and she’s an amazing tracking dog. She’s also a great hunter on Pheasant, quail and rabbits. She’s quick enough to take rabbits in the open. Her sire (Bavarian Mountain Hound) is tracking sika deer in the Sperrin mountains for a hunting outfit and her dam (Irish Springer Spaniel) is a great hunting bitch on a wide range of stuff. These pups are ideal for anyone who fancies doing tracking, SAR or scent work, as well as any kind of hunting. They’re equally suitable for someone just wanting a country companion for walking, cycling, running and hiking. I’m a dog behaviourist and trainer specialising in problem behaviour and also tracking. I’ve worked with dogs for over 30 years and these pups are as good as I’ve ever seen. I believe dogs from working lines that can do the job they were bred to do, also make the best pets and do not suffer from the health problems that are rampant in show breeding. I have no problem letting these pups go to pet homes provided they will be given exercise and well cared for. I’m the author of the book “The Dog Trainer’s Bible” and I’m happy to include a copy with each pup if wanted. The book covers obedience behaviours and shows you how to quickly deal with problems when they occur. All dogs become better companions through a little training. I rarely breed unless I want a dog for tracking myself and these pups are from 2 outstanding dogs that are clever, biddable and easily trained. The pups will be the same. They’ve had a trouble free rearing and the very best of food, care and attention. They have been well handled and are very friendly. Mum is a very good watchdog and will bark when anyone she doesn’t know is about. The pups look like they’ll have this trait also. They’ll be medium sized and have an athletic pointer build. If anyone is interested in tracking with their pup when older, I’d be happy to help in this regard. You won’t be running to the vet every other week with these pups. Their bloodlines are unrelated and they are extremely tough, healthy dogs. Both parents have zero health issues. They are short haired and have coats like silk.
