Beavers Scotland

Recommended Posts

Heard on radio this morning, over a thousand in Scotland spread over 250 sites, I didn't know there was anywhere near that number... Just changed legislation to make it harder to get a licence to cull..anyone have problems with them?

Found these way off the beaten track few months back in the Trossach national park, no release sites nearby

Have found similar on the Cotswolds, mate has a photo of one sat behind his  bivvy when he was fishing up there a few years back, I know were they came from but the authority’s seem happy for them to be released anywhere without any consequence,???

Seen signs of them all over the Tay system.., and a few other places. Think if estates etc. have problems with them, they’d could be dealt with pretty easily and discreetly. They’re not going anywhere soon though, and I think will become far more numerous without control soon.

Is the head tory in scotland not into her beavers too, she could be worth asking advice on, as shes quite the expert

Not now, she chucked it for a seat in the other house. The new tory leader is a fanny though, which is the same thing. He might be able to weigh in, especially if the beavers are offside.

At the end of the day it’s a big rodent, and one thing they all seem to be good at is procreation ?
