Ridgeline Monsoon jacket v Shooterking Venatu

Recommended Posts

I bought one of these and the matching trousers 3/4 seasons ago, can't fault them tbf..there's a good quality fleece that zips out of the jacket, trousers are very hard wearing..I make sure I keep them topped up every few washes with that  nikawax, can't complain ?

I have the ridge line smock and it’s it’s a great bit of kit, however you can sweat like Jimmy Saville on a school bus in it. Great for the quad, great for sitting out in a hide or goose shooting

Well I’ve just come back from beating today and I was wearing a musto gamekeeper that cost 150 and has their BR2 lining. It pissed it down and I’m dry. Early days yet. Last season I had a Swazi.

Early season, shirt, jumper, waistcoat  That will be plenty. Lightweight waterproof pack away. If it’s driven pheasants probably the worst you will deal with is standing Maize. Dog

Last season I had a Swazi. But one of my c**t face mongrels ate it a few weeks ago.

Prefer the musto tbh.

Yeah, musto is good kit, I have one of those too…..and a Laksen ! ?

I have to admit i find the ridgeline gear good value for money tbh i bought one of them grizzly jackets 7 years ago and it's not fallen to pieces and i also have their hoodie that's not bad . I remember buying my first Barbour Solway wax proof coat in the late 70s and it was knackerd with rips and tares after 18 months though they were all the fashion then and their was not much else to choose from years ago regarding  hunting  clobber.
