Popular Post chartpolski 20,379
Had an invite up to the Scottish hills from Northernlite to bolt a few rabbits with the ferrets to his young ACD cross. Couple of hours travel and we met up around 7 am and were on the hills by 7:30. I took my 5 1/2 month old deer/grey along just for the education and experience, those hill are no place to be running a leggy, heavy young pup, but she had a good walk, seen some sheep, no drama, and got a bit fur in her mouth. The ACD x is a joy to watch, only young herself, but very sharp around the holes, marks well, catches more than she misses, and retrieves well. A good day out; pup got some experience, watched a good dog workin, good craic, and a couple of rabbits for the pot ! Cheers. 32 Quote Link to post

All part of the learning process for a working dog, even though it won't be her game Cheers. 2 Quote Link to post

What Deerhound blood does your pup have mate, I used to run a first cross out of Thorn (shenval Isidore) in the mid 90's always liked them he was 30 TTS and had eyes like a great white shark, the black dog used to look right through you lol Quote Link to post
