Even the older ones i used to drive had problems like yours lol even looking after them, but great for working on and top class off road, the best for me were the discoveries the 200 & 300 tdi engined ones, had some craic in them

Bought this Tahoe last year for $2000 to hunt and fish.I have put 40 thousand miles on it in a year.Done nothing to it but it does need new tires. It stays loaded with kayak gear, shovels, spade, locator,

Heap of yank shite

..and you’d wear out the three new trucks , the Toyota landcruiser would still be going strong 😉..we was out this weekend up in the Spanish hills in this one , 94 , 389000miles , same engine 4.2 td ..

My cousin was out on a date with a girl he was trying to impress with his old chevy nova. When the fan belt broke he asked the girl to remove her panty hose so he could fashion a belt.He made it back home without the motor running hot but never got a second date with the girl.😅

If she was impressed by a Chevy nova imagine what a Landcruiser could do , she’d have been over  on her back like an old girl in the snow ..👍

Talking about Landcruisers I see one for sale in the States recently , one owner , eighty series , 4.2td  , 24valve manual 1994 , with just a thousand miles on the clock …$133,000 ..😳..

You just dropped a fan belt all the other problems occurred because you had no fan belt, the issue was you never recognised the symptoms, I drive old motors all the time keep the fluids clean and topped up and learn to recognise what it means when your dash starts lighting up like Christmas 👍👍👍

Yeah for the price of a land cruiser I could probably get 2-3 new trucks off the lot then not feel bad about dinging the thing up not to mention land cruisers arnt really viewed........well how can I say this 🤔 well you pull up to the farm or deer camp in one eghhhhhh 🤣 Nissans and Toyotas are my hands down favorites. Especially the little hard bodies. Getting to be a pain trying to find one under $3000 now since every dog hunter buys em

There’s a big market in the states at the moment for the old 80series especially the ones built between 94&97 , they have the three diff locks , solid axle , and manual gearbox ( as above )  , the serious off roaders are buying them for rebuilding .The Aussies have nothing but Toyota .
