No photo description available. To think this used to be a view when salvaging old track back in the day makes me shudder now even seeing pics like this.

What's the story behind that? Were you just freelance pinching scrap or was it a job?

I am not afraid of heights at all, but standing on the edge of cliffs, buildings, bridges I get an almost overwhelming compulsion to jump ?

That's exactly what I feel mate..its like my body wants to jump and its a battle to fight the urge.i did read up on it a while ago and it's something to do with the brain trying to eliminate the fear somehow if I remember right..if I'm in a digger or dozer I don't mind being on top of the high rock face pushing material over the top..

The first time I went up in a microlight I wondered if I should unbuckle my harness, I could almost envisage the jump, I wonder how many people have actually acted upon the impulse, not suicides who have thought it through but spur of the moment jumpers.

Is that why you needed two blasts on a bong to jump off Snowdon in your paragliding gear?

No I had about 6 bongs the reason being me and my mates bonged everyday what ever we were doing..out on motorbikes up the mountain to kayaking..the bong was with us..

I liked the idea of taking off on the paraglider to beat my fear of heights once and for all. As I couldn't say stop and be back on the ground I had to deal with being up there..and I didn't have no fear up there only concentration..but it didn't cure my fear of heights either...

A sudden reckless impulse to do something self destructive, interesting read.
