New to Air guns

I am new to any type of air gun & am looking for a recommendation for an air gun to shoot rats & the odd magpie. All help appreciated, thank you.

Depending on budget.. hw97k/tHw95k. Hw 99s. Air arms pro sport/ air arms tx200, walther lgv / lgu

would go for a nice 2nd hand air arms s400.same price as a top end springer but easy to shoot with no recoil.just pick it up and shoot well with no practice.

Which ever you choose 

get plenty of practice in before having a pop at any animal

Any springer may be good in the right hands but takes a lot more practice to become good enough to shoot live quarry.  You will have greater success more quickly using a pcp air rifle but then you need either an air tank to fill the gun or a pump then you will have multiple shots capability.  Visit a good dealer and look at the kit, when you see something you like, ask the lads on here for opinions.
