Health an autophagy

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been reading up on autophagy.

It's a process at the cellular level, were your damaged cells be recycled an reused.

It can even recycle cells infected with viruses an cancer.

An the number one way to kickstarter autophagy is fasting?

Very interesting stuff

Interesting to say the least,I read that,So technically if we give our mitochondria what it needs before an after fasting, then it should kill cancerous cells?

Sugar/glucose is the number one food for cancer cells.

The number one way to find out if you've cancer apparently,an they use a p.e.t scan.

They inject you with a tracer, radioactive SUGAR,an where it accumulates it's where cancer is.

Great reading up on it

Can't add to much to this except a couple of months ago I for one reason or another fasted for three days, at the time I'd been having quite a lot of health problems and post fast I ate healthy and cut as much sugar as possible. I now have no health problems the liver enzymes I'd been getting higher and higher readings of for years started dropping and I feel a million times better.

No none I was constantly having acid reflux, bad stomach, trouble breathing all sort of stuff was never really fat but at nearly 15st I was heavier than my frame should be carrying. 12.7 now. Need to hit the weights as I've lost some muscle aswell as fat but feel healthier than I have in 20 years. Been drinking plenty water aswell I think that really helps.

Francie, have you come across Jason Fung? He's a kidney specialist with an interest in promoting the health benefits of fasting. I like the way he explains things, just no nonsense common sense. Might be worth a watch if you haven't found his work.

I've been the same mate. I had twelve months were I fasted for 72hrs once a month. Found the 1st 24hrs surprisingly easy. 24-48hrs were my toughest time and 48hrs onwards got easier again. I always finished a fast feeling so much more clearer mentally. I put this down to a blend of autophagy and a lack of refined sugar.

Thanks you stockport, yeah I just came across him there, must watch more, just seen a small bit.

What did you drink during g fast an how did you break it mate?
