Like the nvz ban. Can go spreading slurry in pissing down with rain as long as you don’t go past a certain date. Day after the ban dry for two weeks but you spread slurry you get raped. Some knobhead in a office Callander farming with a degree. It’s shite

My postman keeps around 180 cattle, beef operation.

He couldn’t get the factory bloke for 5 weeks over lock down and that 5 weeks cost him all the years profit on around 30 or 40 cattle I think ?

5 weeks can wipe out a years work on something as essential as food !…….that’s a broken system imho

@Gypsydog94 Have you seen that operation in Saudi ?……over 100,000 cattle……permanently housed indoors and fed with imported feed from South America that they no doubt cut down thousands of acres of forest to grow !

How can that even be allowed to exist ? Wrong mate, just wrong !

In my eyes there's two big problems, accountants and the entitlement culture.

Accountants get hold of what started off as a good idea, carbon offsetting, environmental subsidy schemes, green energy etc, and immediately pick it to pieces and find loopholes in it to either make or save money. It becomes a tick box exercise and the positive gain it was supposed to achieve is lost.

The entitlement culture means people don't appreciate food and aren't willing to pay what it costs to produce in a more sustainable way. They believe its their due, along with latest phones, massive TV, new car every 2 years etc. They massage their conscience by buying electric cars and going vegan rather than paying more for locally produced food and keeping their old banger going.

Neither of these problems has a solution as far as I can see. People are basically evil monkeys addicted to consuming and buying more and more while pretending, even to themselves, that they care about the planet.

The whole thing is a con. Britain is responsible for 1.1% of global emissions, if we went carbon neutral tomorrow we would make fck all difference. Yet are we putting any pressure on global polluters to stop it? Are we fck. We are filling their order books!

We have destroyed our steel industry because its dirty and uses lots of energy, are we using less steel ?. No we just import it from the other side of the world!

We are taking petrol and diesel cars of the road. When we passed our tests we drove 250 quid bangers and learnt to keep em going by visiting the scrap yard. Now when a kid passes their test they either have a be bought a first car by parents or the wait until they start work and get signed up to finance. That's what it's all about, getting us on finance, not saving the planet.

Local moorlands that are owned by water companies are driving farmers and keepers from the land. Rewinding and planting tress is the call, save the planet! Yet the moorlands are tinder boxes that burn for days at a time each year. Yet local companies can offset their carbon by buying trees to plant. Remember the land as pasture and moorland was already secreting carbon before, and employing people and producing food. Now companies don't need to produce less carbon, they just pay for some trees to plant on the moorland to add fuel to the wildfires. Food for the nation? Nah just buy it from the other side of the world!

Apparently black lives matter? Well unfortunately not if your a kid in Africa, mining elements for batteries and releasing heavy metals into rivers and the oceans.

Whole things a con and Britain is falling for it quicker than any other developed country on the planet
