gnasher16 29,570 Posted August 4, 2021 Report Share Posted August 4, 2021 Lets face it who wants to be f****n about planning journeys around when and how long you need to allow for your car to get charged up ....my mate recently bought a new Tesla that has an autopilot to bring it to a safe stop if it detects the driver is unresponsive ( fallen asleep for instance ).....we tried it out for a giggle and its now in the repair shop after almost taking out a tree !.....lectric will certainly take over in the the coming years but its like any new technology the first wave is little more than a gimmick,at this point its all about showing off the capabilities and being " first " to get one......personally i,ll resist as long as possible i cant stand the f****n things ! 2 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

What happens when everyone gets home from work and plugs their car in around the same time, will the grid be able to handle it ? If they really do ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in less than 9 years time, the price of second hand cars is going to go through the roof ! Badly thought out by the government.
