Lets face it who wants to be f****n about planning journeys around when and how long you need to allow for your car to get charged up ....my mate recently bought a new Tesla that has an autopilot to bring it to a safe stop if it detects the driver is unresponsive ( fallen asleep for instance ).....we tried it out for a giggle and its now in the repair shop after almost taking out a tree !.....lectric will certainly take over in the the coming years but its like any new technology the first wave is little more than a gimmick,at this point its all about showing off the capabilities and being " first " to get one......personally i,ll resist as long as possible i cant stand the f****n things !

Where are the people who live in high rise flats going to charge their cars ?

What happens when everyone gets home from work and plugs their car in around the same time, will the grid be able to handle it ?

If they really do ban the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in less than 9 years time, the price of second hand cars is going to go through the roof !

Badly thought out by the government.

Cheers.

Am I right in saying after 2030 they will still be allowed to sell petrol electric hybrids?

I don't know mate, they've just said the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned.

To be honest, I think they will give an extension.

Cheers.
