kanny 19,322
It bonkers how quick road cars are getting however if this was a track race I'd expect the F1 car would pish all over them. You can have too much of a good thing though where HP is concerned, my 315hp is plenty for the B roads that is 99% of my driving but its pitiful compared to these modern straight line monsters Electric is where its at now though check out the new Rimac it's insanely quick . That Rimac is insane isn't it, the performance these days even from hot hatches is insane. You have to remember though, that was a 2011 V8 F1 car, the current cars are much faster in a straight line but they are also much heavier so I don't know how they would compare on a 1/4 mile run. Most of the modern hyper cars are now all-wheel drive cars with launch control whereas F1 cars are rear-wheel drive machines and the with no launch control. Once up and running I'd expect a F1 car to leave even the Rimac for dust, would be a good run over a 1/4 mile mind. Edited July 31, 2021 by Greb147

A lad I know made this, his company is now worth millions the car will leave a Bugatti standing don’t think internal combustion and gearbox’s will ever stand up against electric mate, the race is now on for the ultimate self charging battery and the race is won

gnasher16 29,602
Ive driven and been in some quick cars and have not yet found an electric car that has the same driving experience a petrol engine has.....to me its like being in something like a flight simulator it almost doesnt feel real,im sure for future generations the excitement of a fast electric car will be everything petrol engines were for us...but folk of this crossover period im sure will have many similar reservations to my own.
