They are a Toy breed. Useless for any hunting. Biggest health problem with them is breaking their legs jumping off the sofa. If you want a "mini greyhound" get a Whippet ? Cheers.

An Australian Borzoi, Im sure the owner won't mind me posting the pic, in fact, I think he may be a member on here; A UK Borzoi I judged at a show some years ago; Cheers.

Believe it or not, I will be more than likely jumped on , but this Italian stops plenty rabbits, it had plenty  of drive ,it’s crazy when it gets a scent but the same as last time this topic arose ,th

I have a 3/4 italian greyhound x whippet.  Just coming 4 year  old. We took him on at 1 Yr old and never seen a thing. 17inch to the shoulder  and as tough as any dog I've own, I'm coming 60 and have had dogs all my life. Not a cross I would have considered if I was after a pup as I always have collie x , except for a bedlington x pup I have now. This Italian x is fantastic on rabbits , never Jack's and also has had rats ,squirrels and pheasants,  this is very good hare country and I reckon he might have had a few pre ban (lol), good feet and we are on flints and very obedient.  The whippet side is of the Salisbury silver bullet strain so maybe that have something to do with it.  Would I say don't try this cross's..  absolutely not , if rabbits/ ferreting your thing....? Horses for courses

i'm not sure, i've never seen a terrier crossed with a whippet in person but i thought they would feel like a big terrier

Border/ Lakeland x whippet back to pure whippet.the biggest one in the second picture is the father to the terrier x whippet.

I was out a wander with the pup yesterday and came across two beautiful retired greyhounds. I've always loved them and these are probably the first I've seen in person.

Unfortunately, due to their size and the allergy problem we wouldn't ever be able to own greyhounds. We could have the smaller, hypoallergenic Italian greyhounds though. Are they any use at catching anything? I've heard they're fragile, could this be fixed by breeding them with a hardier dog like a terrier or similar?

Don't be f***ing stupid. Get a whippet.
