Another quick little overnighter for a re sett from work ect.  Out in Trevor the Transit again lol. I made a diy awning from an old flames creed tarp some tarp poles and mini clamps and wanted test it out. Only cost me £28 to make it. Wasn't bad but needs tweeking.  Had burgers on firebox and a few beers and wander with catty and take in the solitude and moors. Didn't see one person or motor , just perfect !

Put a rubble sack or bin liner inside any rucksack or backpack, fill it with all your gear, twist the top and fold it over inside and you have a waterproof pack - works a treat…

Personally I’m a huge fan of Osprey packs, comfort is key - can be had cheap on eBay/FB marketplace or outdoors shops can hood some bargains…

A good little tent is the Alpkit Soloist, only small but fairly lightish and not a bad price, here is mine on the pennines.  Osprey decent packs and I have a ultralight one by 3ulf gear off Ali Express.

Just bought a new peace of gear, a Outdoor Research Bivvy. Only 484 grams in weight,  that's pretty light for a hooked bivvy. Be ideal for a few light weight bivvy adventures here and there. Probably be a few weeks before I get chance to try it as an mowed out in work.  Am super impressed with quality of it. Here is a couple of pics of it, sorry for picture quality I think I used a potato to take em lol.

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
