I use two sleeping bags, for different times of the year. A lightweight one for most of the year (with a silk sock if the temp dips) and a cold weather one that is rated down to -20°C for colder times of the year or if we are going high up. I also have a fleece blanket that we take to the beach, if we're sleeping there. Put that on the inflatable mattress and chuck a sleeping bag over you.. banging ;)

Sky side on kirkstone pass

Nice spot there.

You could have done an overnighter in the Priest's hole cave on Dove crag not far from your campsite and saved a few bob. I've always fancied a night in there but I wouldn't be too happy if anyone else turned up with the same idea. There's a video on YouTube of a fella staying there for the night and another chap shows up and he's brought his acoustic guitar with him and is strumming away all night...ffs!!?

Just treated myself to a Hilleberg tent for them that no what they are, looking forward to a bit of winter camping in it. Quality is excellent thought should be for not much change out of 7 hundred quid for a one man tent lol. Fancied one for a few years so thought sod it buy one. Resale value on eBay is almost new price.

What model you get

Bought the Atko in sand colour mate, was gonna give it a spin last night . But with all the fireworks I add the dogs inside to settle them. Put it up on the field over the road and am impressed with build quality

Think there’s 4 or 5 of the solo tents, in fairness I’d struggle to choose iv heard lots of good about a few diff ones ?

Everybody seems to buy the Hilleberg soulo , but I wanted summit a bit lighter but would still be good for the hill weather near me

Hi guys , bit of a long shot , but I’m due to imminently move to the plains of my people and have heard rumours of a firemonger of weapons ??
He is said to be a purveyor of the uks finest steel tomohawks and one of the last true dwarf weapon masters
if anyone can point me in the right direction , I’d be greatly pleased

I want to purchase a pair of boots for the colder weather, I do a lot of walking, and some trekking about the hillsides and trails. I do not want "winter boots" but rather boots that would be suitable for a cold day, but would work with layers of socks rather than thick heavy boots. Several people have told me Meindl is an excellent brand, and that is great, but what kind ? Hiking ? Walking ? Do they make them that they would serve the purpose mentioned above ? Any specifics to look for in a boot for this purpose ?
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn

Sorry gentlemen to bother you, but I have come to my wits end. My neighbour across the way lets her dog roam as it please when it comes to shitting and urination, she is too lazy to actually take the dog out herself. He seems to have taken to my property and a certain area just under my bedroom window. I do not want to hurt the dog for the sake of her ignorance, but I do very much need to stop him from doing it any longer. The grass and  the shrubs are dying and turning brown and the flowers are just rank with smell that floats up through my bedroom window.
He is a VERY OVERWEIGHT beagle and leaves behind some damn good deposits.
I am wondering short of doing something stupid, what can I do to deter the dog from that area or any patches of garden I have? I plan to go to the council about the problem, and lay some of it on the town manager who is an acquaintance of mine, but in the meantime, any tricks out there to make my flowers and bushes unsavoury.
      Thank you in advance,
      Lynn
