Most rabbits killed with one lurcher on nights lamping now let's be truthful lads about this one

here's a night we did the ton ..101 to be exact ..53 with venus and Andys two boys had the rest with Don and a young dog...forgot it's name

Done a 107 one night with an invite from a boy off here with my old bitch and his little dog blade, started at 10pm and finished around 5am . My old bitch hit a wall on her 11th rabbit and took the stuffing out her we though the night was over but she came around.

64 with one dog, back in about 1991.

Though took 30 rabbits three times in the same week, from the same speck, with the same dog.

Funnily enough, that dog was one of those no wind half cross bull bloods...

Enough to keep a man interested an content not enough to boast about. 

don’t catch no were near as many these days as there not there in numbers to catch but to be honest I don’t supply a butcher or game dealer ive no army of dogs or ferrets to feed I’m to lazy to process them these days so a couple is plenty to keep me going till the next outing 2-7 rabbits is the number of rabbits now from a lamp trip 2-3 times a week

I put a post up saying my cousin Dog got 81 rabbits in a night well I was wrong it was 71 Sorry lads and he said about 30 of them kill it the Bed

still a great score mate...

theres been a few lads up and down the country that have taken the ton with a single dog...not me personally but some lads that i know and been out with on occasions...

and for some lads they have had a long weekend at it ...and lamped 3 nights on the bounce and taken some right big bags...dedicated lads with fit dogs and plenty of bunnys to go at...

62 but like said 1980s-1990s when there was plenty to go at the most we caught with 2 dogs and a 9mth old pup was 138.Them were the times and great nights.

ILL tell u a quick story here it was I think 1994 I was running I own bitch and her daughter a friend wanted to go lamping but when we called he didn't go so he said what ever u get throw a couple into my garden for the ferrets well that night we killed 58 rabbits put them all into his garden lol But he took it in good crack he never asked again for rabbits

funny you say that mate....i have similar tale....

two young lads that often come with me hunting would drop of at my house early in the morning...Andrew reynolds hunting ...you may have seen his youtube channel...

so i open my back door and there on my drive is the biggest pile of bunnys.....there was 140 something....they caught them with two lurcher bitches ...that night....for gods sake i had to sort them all out and get them in my freezer all nice and neat....lol

Always good to push a working dog to its limits to see what it can achieve and see what it's made of. But seriously, who's actually scratching their heads wondering wheres numbers are these days when huge bags are being regularly taken? Done plenty rabbits ferreting and lamping over the years and I never considered it sport or hunting going for big bags, I knew if I did, I'd be killing my own sport in the end. If I couldn't carry my catch then that's enough. Big difference between hunting and killing. Just a side note, good pics though.

Took 20s few times but few yr ago now,they no numbers local to me so if we take five the dog works hard for them but never about numbers these days its just good to be out and see me dogs do what they love to do .
