Like I said mate I dont keep coursing dogs, most bull x pups are a bit heavy at that age to be doing a long run on hard ground early season. Steer clear of open fields and fast stuff and knock about the woods hedges and scrub instead until they find their legs.

thast were they learn what you want young mate woods hedges and shrubs running in the open is the easy part once ready

Everyone does something a little different with pups . There's no exact science to it . If your older and wiser , you learn by your mistakes and you make less of them . Once you've done right by a pup . Nurture it till second season.  Its all down to them . Unless they are being flogged . Or owners are kidding Everyone on they are out when they ain't.  Which is just as bad as flogging them .

No I don't pal his are country of origin hounds..

I run good old English coursing breds they are a safer bet for me although I have just outcrossed to an old friends line of desert breds that can do what I need as have a few of the lads with the pures ..
