Great project Jimmy I can't wait to see the finished result. I don't know much about bluing, as I have only done it once a few years ago to an old side by side and used this stuff....

Phillips Professional Cold Blue 250ml 848820009939

It did a great job I was well happy how it came out.

Brill I hope it takes well. Are you going to stain the stock and use true oil?

Sure am Tom

but iv opted for a bark brown stain

That has a touch of red in it this time

That's what I was told any way

Still a long way to go on the stock yet smoothing it out takes ages lol

But I'm in no rush

On the 120 grit at the moment

Then it will be wet and dry to get it as smooth as possible

Going to leave the pistol check dark

Think it will have a nice affect

You do a terrible job Jimmy ??,let me hide it for you ?. In my safe for a few years ?.

Seriously you could do this for a living, your knowledge of blueing and retreating stocks is quality .

Looks like someone is going have a gorgeous rifle to use and I'm not jealous at all ?
