Our names are quite unusual and you never really encounter them day to day . but on the beach landing memorial of the 82nd airborne at Gira , there in the list half way down , mine first and directly underneath was his . we both smiled at each other and grinned . In his thick jarrow accent he said to me “I hope they were friends ya Knaw “ it was genuinely one of the best moments of my life 5 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
