At one stage I was convinced he was just pissing about and and having a laugh with the dog ... I was glad when he decided enough was a enough and disappeared..... 4 Quote Link to post

sandymere 8,261
South America has a lot of people running lurchers on hare, deer and rhea, seems very popular. I've had enquiries after pups to send over.... Edited May 19, 2021 by sandymere 1 Quote Link to post

Look at that dogs feet run on some really dry ground and not one toe knocked up all different kinds of terrain there. It's because our dogs are pampered to much same in horse game a horse isn't a horse any more not worked 1 Quote Link to post
OldPhil 5,360
Wow, amazing footage I wish we had the use of a Drone camera, back in the day,.just imagine what footage there would be now Personally,..I like to see a hare put 'under pressure' by a single dog,...I like to see plenty of turns and strikes. It was always great craic on the Fens, and those match dogs really are something else,..the best of them are awesome I've captured hares over lots of different terrains,..but as was mentioned earlier by Socks,..some of the criiters that live on Salisbury Plain are genuine heart breakers... Nowadays,..I only take a few hares when someone asks for one, other than that, I try to keep well away...I know my place in the pecking order, and so do my cur dogs Edited May 22, 2021 by OldPhil 8 1 Quote Link to post
