He'll know damn well what a train can do to a body it catches between it and the platform. I'd say he had at best four seconds between his lifting that kiddie to safety, and the train passing where He had just been, having popped out of the way. You try saying; " OMFG! I'm now going to be ripped, twisted and fukked into fukking mincemeat!!! " inside three or four seconds! He clearly wasn't thinking that. Only thing in his consciousness was saving that kiddie.
