Billions given in dodgy deals, goes beyond anything that's come before. All parties have pasts but letting your people die whilst lining your pockets.

Lol, according to

Eurostar website: “It took just under six years and 13,000 workers to build the Channel Tunnel. The total cost came at an eye-watering £4.65 billion which would be the equivalent of £12 billion in today's money.”

"Test and Trace is budgeted to be significantly more expensive than the Mars expedition. The Mars Perseverance rover is expected to cost just under £2 billion, while NHS Test and Trace received a £22 billion budget for its first year."

Edit to add, they were successful.

So has any government in the recent past pissed as much? Say since the war to keep it within a sensible time scale. Especially on a failure? Do you not feel that they should be held to account. You said " adjusted for inflation all of them" can you give me an example?

No, I don’t see the difference between pissing away a pound that’s not theirs or 40 billion......it’s not theirs, they ain’t entitled.

Spunking money is spunking money, end of story.
