My point sorely missed mate was that history has shown religion to be used as a cloak for all manner of evils .Why then was it not so that the originator sought to manipulate the masses with a well thought out plan to keep those ,shall we say weak for a want of a better word ,inline .A cult developed and spread but now it’s on the wane .

The human race has come so far since then and the stomach for such control has dwindled massively .The hub of Christianity ,the church is a failing institution .People IME no longer wish to be controlled for better or worse .I’ve no problem with anyone’s beliefs as long as they can justify what it is they believe in but thus far I’ve not seen any plausible response to make me think maybe I’m wrong .Nothing I can see or hear or touch therefore it isn’t .

My thesis is based on this mate and please correct me if I’m wrong .

To be in a position to need a third party to turn to to run your life you need to be weak willed and of a disposition that allows a person to think beyond we can see ,touch or hear .

Now I’m a very balanced person ,calm and educated with a decent brain for getting on in life but I’m damned if I can see the logic behind believing in something so far fetched and archaic .

No insult meant mate just need clarification from someone who does believe please .
