Tip ratchet was like that I remember judging a show and he brought a poodle greyhound in then a Italian greyhound in the rabbiting class, the man was a joke and to top it off when he judged he had little chipper stewarding for him and chipper was picking the dogs.Fun to watch really as the man was supposed to of been well educated.

Supposed bull mastif cross only thing I’ve seen match my 3/4 saluki greyhound with stamina on lamp  ...... mind I’ve not seen many other dogs run but I’ll always rember  that dog ...... picked it up in Alnwick and run it a the way home young and stupid but everyone is at some point.
two defining moments when a rabbit run back down the lamp towards me and him 5 foot behind and me ending up doing 3 summersaults when he connected and second when he hit face of a hay bale and just seemed to bounce of

I would imagine that would've been a very nice looking bitch.  Never seen a dalmation cross lurcher type. ?

I like em.  But the ones I've seen have been dog aggressive, and in the case of an old schoolmate that owned one about 40 years ago, EXTREMELY dog aggressive, and particularly vicious!!

100% mate, my  parents had one in the 60s, it was nasty twat, it bitten my younger brother in the hand,  dog aggressive, to be honest mate, it was a waste of a good dog, needed a bullet deff, them and collies got know time for either breed.!

I don't doubt that, I had a bullmastiff cross pit that would run all day and even caught a few roos after a short burst. I bred his mum , the pit, 7 years later to a bulldog and the pups have no stamina. At 17 the pit/bullmastiff got into a fight with his bulldog/pit brother 10 and flogged his arse. I could imagine a bullmastiff lurcher having endless stamina.Pic of Bubba the pit/bullmastiff at 18, had to PTS about 6months later.
