I would be putting it back to a deerhound greyhound either same way bred or 3/4,I wouldn’t put a dum thing like a saluki into anything to be honest.Just invade the pups throw back to that ignorant stubborn plodding crap of the saluki.

I've seen one bred that way and it was one of the ugliest dogs I've ever seen. Imagine a big misshapen deerhound with long droopy ears.

Having said that I imagine good linebred fen type coursing blood might work out well. Hitch a ride on the back of decades of selection and line breeding.

Do like a good deerhound greyhound, I had a bitch she started well then slowly started picking her runs and wouldn't pull any down. 

If she had a night a month she would perform well but regular graft she didn't want it. 

She accounted for a good number of rhd and the odd Charlie. But would pull up on df if she wasn't in the mood.

In my experience I’ve seen and heard of saluki dogs taking teeth and leaving it off not able for the dirty work and for deer dogs if they got a kick of a red or even fallow they wouldn’t be deer dogs for long

Seen a saluki xs first hand do fox regular and deer was the thing it seemed to have that extra gear for.

I like a dash of saluki in a dog, can bring alot to the table.
