What's cooking?

Garlic chicken breast with wholemeal pasta with a tomato, onion and balsamic sauce ( maybe a stew, tomatoes and onions a bit chunky) I’m living like a king whilst she’s doing her best with the buffet dinners in the all inclusive , 4 more days to go and I’ll have to go back to chicken dinners and pie’s when she’s home

Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

No exaggeration,he has probably lost a million quid in his life, we popped into a pizza shop once, while waiting for the pizza he popped into a bookies over the road and lost £800 but he has had a few decent wins £96k and £40k earlier this year.

Fair play to him, a lad I used to work for used to bet on the horses every day, he had some big wins, I remember him once in the earlier 90’s winning 21grand on a 5 quid accumulator and give me an extra tenner in my pay packet, I also remember him sat in the office of his tyre garage one Saturday when I was working there and he lost over £25k and wasn’t bothered, you could see he was enjoying it even if he lost, he sadly died earlier this year and I went into the tyre place to see his sons and they were telling me the value of his estate to be split between the 3 of them and he was clearly doing something right because it was an eye watering amount, I said are you retiring and he said no his dad want them to keep the tyre business going, lad’s been brought up properly, most now would take the money and run

Gambling mentality, I remember once he was down to his last grand in the bank, he loves the game, you can see it in his eyes when there's cash at stake.
