Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

150 grams beef skirt.

150 grams diced Potato (Maris Piper)

90 grams Swede diced.

Eighty grams of chopped Onion.        (If I use eighty in number I get an emoji).

Knob of butter.

A lot of Black Pepper and quite a bit of salt.

Divide all the ingredients into two.

Will do two nice size pasties.

One roll of Morrisons shortcrust pastry. Unroll pastry divide in two and make it into two balls. Save the baking paper that the pastry comes in to line a tray.

sprinkle strong bread flower on clean surface and roll out balls of pastry into circles about the size of a dinner plate.

Next bit is bit tricky.

Put one half of ingredients in the middle of circle bring pastry together in a D shape then crimp. wet joining edges.

Every thing is raw. 

Brush with milk.

Bake at 165 Fan oven for 40 minutes

None fan oven 210 for 50 minutes

Gas No6 apron 50 mins to 1 hour

 

Have a go better than any you can buy.

Made this out of veg from the garden, bean and tomato salad, made a balsamic dressing, was really nice...

Took it up to the bbq last night and it was blown away by their offerings....felt a bit inadequate in rhe end..lol
