Rabbit Pie ! And, for the purists, made with shortcrust pastry, NOT puff pastry ! ? ! Cheers.

Family get together at ours, so a bit of a spread.. 13 hour cooked brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder.. Home made coleslaw, stuffing, roasties... and a 2 day hangover! Lol

Treat off my dad tonight, he's a friend on the fresh fish stall up town... Scallops and lemon sole fillets...

Try marinating the chicken in buttermilk or natural yoghurt overnight in a freezer bag, before spicing up and cooking. You'll thank me ?

The meaty bits taste like lamb. The brains were fuucking rank, the eyeball was juicy and the tongue... well let's just say it takes a lot for food to make me gip ? Still, I've eaten it all, washed down with as much vino as I could fit in the bucket ?

I’d give it a go it was probably quite tender, something I did eat in Spain which I’ve knocked up at home is the Ox cheeks absolutely soft as anything and a real nice rich sauce.

Here in Catalunya they love the pig cheeks (galtas al horno). They're the same as mate, like you say, soft as you could ask for and the sauce is usually very rich and fatty. Defo one for dipping a bit of bread and butter in ;)

Nope... I was stone cold sober ?

I see the sheep heads all the time in the butchers and always wanted to try one out. Tbf it was tasty (apart from the brains), it did lack any real amount of meat though but that was made up for with the juices and a bit of b&b

I can almost smell the ones mother used to cook for my old man, and that's over 50 years back!

I won't turn my nose up at much - I'd give some of the meat from it's face a go but, I'm f****d if I could tuck into some of the wobbly bits :no:
