Well you’re a blast from the past ! Oddly enough I was thinking if you a little while ago, stood on some banks at baldock and thought this must be where he got his name 😂

I spent many a happy winters afternoon after work spot coursing hares on them banks with my old coursing Lurchers, a bit warm round there to be taking a leisurely stroll bar a few big open bits out of the eye shot 😀.

Im a jack of all trades myself now dog wise I breed them to do everything, too much money and drama in the matching game for me now, such a shame, to watch a fit hare and a decent lurcher on a cold sunny winters morning really takes some beating on land like them banks.

Dave do you no how much the pups going for ? I got my bitch for 130 three yr ago and most litters I see are anything from 700 to 1800 .don't no how they justify these prices but they getting away with it as fools paying it .

I'm not on Foolsbook...how much are these pups???

Does it really matter what's in these beddies to get them working?if they are doing a job? Or do you just keep lining jacker to jacker kc to kc and hope for the best? So you can call yours the Real Deal? And slag another man with sly comments?I'm confused here...am I missing something? You mates and it's a wind up?😉

What do folk use for keeping their dogs at the height of cleanliness?
Mostly talking about ears here, the amount of gunk that seems to build up resulting in all night head shaking is phenomenal.
How cropped are you keeping nails? Best tooth and gum care?
Seems not to be a topic but I know everybody is keeping their dogs in top condition

Hello, would just like a few pointers from the more experienced members than me on the best way or their particular methods of breaking terriers to livestock? I have a relative that keeps poultry on an allotment that would let me take my pup through, but he’s 5 months now and like most working bred terriers he’s feisty and excited by fur and feather. I wouldn’t want any nasty mistakes to happen so any advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

I’m looking for some advice as we recently rescued a whippet lurcher mix. She’s extremely friendly and sociable with dogs and people but is constantly biting and grabbing our older dogs legs, ears and neck. He’s s cavachon and doesn’t really care for playing or interacting with other dogs so he rarely snaps or growls at her when she starts. He’ll just stand there looking at us or try to run away. She’s never been aggressive towards him and regularly try’s to protect him if other dogs get rough with him. However she’s constantly biting at him when he starts barking or when’s she too excited. We separate her and tell her no but so far it’s not working and he’s doing little to tell her to stop. My worry is he’s much smaller then her and that she might accidentally hurt him if we weren’t there to stop it. Is this common Lurcher behaviour and any suggestions? Thanks

Well lads I’m just looking for some advice on my pup if anyone can help he was jumping against a wall and fell awkwardly on his back right leg there was a little squeal nothing much out of him but he has it held up since and is limping around he’s in good enough form he try’s to run around with other lurcher but I checked it and felt it out nothing is broken that I can tell but when I motion the leg and give it a stretch inwards and outward it hurts him??

Hello there. I have a jack Russell pup coming in the next few weeks when he is ready to leave his mother. He’s from working stock and I am hoping to try him out when he’s ready. I would just like to get some advice or pointers from people on here as to what sort of diet you think is best for working terriers? I Want to keep him in best condition I can, strong and healthy. All comments very much appreciated.
