I'd be interested in people's opinions on mixing bull and Beddy blood in a lurcher.

I can't see the benefits personally, both bring a lot to the table individually, but together ?

Couldn't tell you mate I sent him to my cousin and he had to get rid of him I see pics of a big black dog from the litter they bred was a nice strong dog for 1/4 beddy but I actually don't no was she half beddy tho

I’ve never owned this cross bull beddy my opinion would be Hybrid vigour bred from dogs that can handle more than there means pretty regularly bred to dogs that can do the job for the jobs in hand without keeping stepping back to the beginning with a f1 an hoping for the best as there know workers id imagine they would they would certainly be more powerful than a f1 beddy greyhound have more jaw power,weight behind em to get the job done quickly they’d be a hard ol cross that’s for sure but handy lamp dogs if your interests don’t lay on rabbits as your main bread an butter

At a guess I take you not seen a f1 do Charlie ? Who has bred these shite ones that you have come across as it be good know as to steer clear , sometimes tho it ain’t always the breeding it can be you get out what you put in ? We av all seen dogs bred from the best turn out shite and vice versa , example I’ve never rated a Hancock’s dog as most I’ve seen av been shite yet I’ve seen one recently that was exceptional atb

my mate, used to have 1/4 beadie/border   3/4 grey a Hancock  dog, big fawn 27in dog in the 80s, it caught daytime hares , kill foxes, and get good bag of rabbits , a nice what call a normal type temp, none of this over sensitive  manic temp , like you get with lot of 1x collie x greys, yeh very good dog to be around and work. actually just got of the phone to him, not spoke for couple years, we were talking about that dog he had , it died cancer  8 year old, he got a old type whippet x grey x collie now, we both agreed a 1/4 collie plenty  in a lurcher , i should imagine  same with the acd  1/4 be plenty  the herding blood  strong in all type lurchers, same as pit   1/4that come out strong in most lurchers .

Think it all comes down to what suits the individual but with all , you have to put the work in to get the best out don’t you think

Well who bred your dog then if your dogs doin the business that’s great but if the rest of the litter shit it’s just a one off big breeding failure so pm me with the details cheers dai
