A bit of a wander

Recommended Posts

I had a walk out yesterday to mainly zero in my rimfire as it’s not been that accurate lately but stuck a couple through at 100 yards and it seemed to be shooting ok there was a wonky one to the left but my fault I fluffed it, was quite windy as well Remington .17 down my Cz452.

Got that sorted and I couldn’t  resist a shot at a pheasant good size as well he’s all sorted for a nice roast tomorrow.

It was an afternoon walk I see several rabbits and a Fox as well the rabbits I’m going to have to get over with my air rifle and have a lay up and be patient it’s a tight bit of land to shoot, but I much prefer just wandering about.

Still nice to be out for a few hours.

Yes I shot it’s neck at about 40/50 yards I was feeling confident after just zeroing the rifle and was going to go for an head shot but thought better of it and lowered my shot slightly it dropped immediately.

It’s funny because I used to read your old posts dismissing the Mouse gun and I new with the hunting you do it would be perfect, I’ve owned my one for about 12 years it’s a keeper.

My bias to be honest was based on a single range session and a box of 50 17gn bullets which felt very uninspiring! I made an ass of myself assuming.....again!
