Strange hooks

Anyone know what these funny hooks are for? 

Also found some hooks with big daft heads on, I can't picture a fly that might use them?

The bottom ones are either egg flies tied to resemble loose  eggs released when fish are  spawning or are tied to resemble floaters, bits of floating bread or cat biscuits thrown out and then the fly is cast to where the fish is feeding. A lot of egg flies are orange or pink. I haven't seen brown ones before.

No idea what the top ones are for unless they are designed to spear prawns on when salmon fishing.

Yeah I thought maybe something to do with prawns or shrimps. 

I've seen egg flies but these are really buoyant and have long shanks like they were meant to be added to

Maybe the top one is for soft lures? Insert the straight part into the soft lure and down the middle of the lures body. Then the hook sits under. Maybe tie your knot in the hairpin part. 

Think they are 20 plus years old now so I'd go with prawns for salmon

prawn pins, not seen them for years, the hooks I`m after are 4:0 salmon doubles, another I`ve not seen for ages
