New rifle

Lads, I’ll be after a new .243 soon, what are you using in that calibre and would you recommend? I’m looking at Sako or Shultz Larsen at the moment. Also what scope?   Cheers

Depends on your budget really. Sako are great but so are Tikka T3 which are a lot cheaper but come out of same factory. Optics depends on what you want to spend , Swarovski,  Zeiss, Schmidt and Bender all good scopes , rule of thumb buy the best you can afford.

Really depends on budget. T3 is probably best value for money out of box accuracy is great. But saying that I did sell a T3 to upgrade to a sauer 404.  Fantastic rifle does it shoot any better than tikka?  probably not lol

I just love stainless and laminates. More type of rifle than brand, but all for the wood look and low maintenance / worries on both barrel and stock. I also like fluted and twists on the bolt but they're largely for show really.

On the scopes, on the high end with the Smidt and Bender already mentioned you can add Nightforce.
