Although the house of Lords has changed and is now full of lefty Pro EU shite bags I do still think it serves a purpose to as a safety net against the house of commons so I don't nessssaryly agree with abolishing it or turning it into another house of commons. 

I also don't agree with PR, as much as it would give parties like ukip a better representation, it would also give the Muslim vegan transvestite party a place as well. We need strong government not listening to every little wacko voice. PR sounds good but in practice we would probably half fill the commons with the type of people we don't want. Remember 50% of the population don't support brexit....do you want a powerful re join party appearing? Or the animal rights party? 

I liked farage and have probably spent more time than anyone on here knocking on doors campaigning for him....but he's done his job and he could now start making a fool out of himself. 

Go and look carefully at your prospective candidates, make your views known to them. Then campaign for your favourite and let's get people who support us into parliament. The colour of the badge doesn't matter.

The House of Lords has become a place you put your pals to help you with the insanity you want to ram through this week.....or not as the case may be.

An elected second chamber based on PR is a much more democratic way of doing things and will be proper scrutiny for parliament imho

I used to think that way when I lived in the U.K. and they had the first PR referendum.......I made a massive mistake in rejecting PR with my vote because I bought all that scare story about “opening the door to Lib Dem’s/vegans/lefties” 

Mate obviously I now live in a place where they have PR and let me tell you the scare stories are nonsense.

PR works, it brings the elected person closer to the people......the local bloke from your area who you see In the high street, have a beer with, maybe go hunting with can and does get elected.

They don’t have to be a member of a party, they can be totally Independant 

No massive majorities to ram through every bit of nonsense that crosses their mind, people who actually come from, are and live amongst you and me have a voice in the house (Dail) 

PR works, if we want an end to the feeling of never being heard, having no control and general remoteness from the halls of power then we have to get PR in the U.K.

It won’t simply be a case of the same old bollocks and it ending in the normal Labour/Tory clones.

Whats they have at the moment is broken, badly broken. 

If you actually want your vote to start mattering again then it has to be PR 

Farage knows it, that’s why they are promoting the policy.

We have an adversarial party system in the Commons, so I see no need for an "Upper Chamber", especially an unelected one that owes their allegiance to whoever sent them their.

An elected "Upper Chamber" is a non-starter for me, as if it is elected, it could legitimately challenge the decisions of the "Lower Chamber".

We democratically vote in a General Election for a government and an opposition to hold the government to account.

People like Mandelson, Chakrabatti, Adonis, are the embodiment of why the House of Lords should be scrapped.

I would vote for the new party for sure. I am fed up with the same career politicians refusing to listen to the electorate and just doing what they want. We desperately need politicians that listen to the majority not the minority, look at the vaccine rollout volunteers are having to fill in or undertake  21 pieces of various bureaucratic woke nonsense like equality training, racial awareness training etc! No one except a few woke liberals gives a f**k, just get the vaccine in peoples arms so we can have some life back. Any politician prepared to actually represent normal folk has my attention.

That’s how it should work mate but I don’t think it is working like that and hadn't for a long while.
 

Imho what we have is a homogenous group of career socialists dressed up in capitalist democratic camouflage who say they are different but are really the same......it’s broken, totally broken.
