There weren't many reels that where right handed then. Cheers Arry ....I thought as much mate...the classic combo...
Nicepix 5,650
I've got two Mitchell Match reels, both blue and in very good nick. They get an outing every now and then. Also got a Mitchell Half-Bail, the type Richard Walker used to catch the record carp, and a 1955/6 model with full bail. Also a 300 and ABU 506 bought with my paper round and Saturday job money. A few more centrepins too.... A 1940's /50' Arerial Popular This one is unique. It was made in 1912 probably as a prototype by a reel maker who left Hardys and struck up shop on his own. I found an old split cane rod today, I'll take some pics tomorrow and put them up.. I like the idea of using the old gear, but I'll be honest it feels so clunky now...I do love seeing pics of the rods/reels still in action though

User to use a small quiver tip rod called a sigma wand on our canal, great thing for skimmers..
