If you can afford to give your local hospitality some support when possible ?

The lockdown supporting people should be taxed 500% to pay for them to survive

and shame on them they can own this

A lot of small business suffering this side too. Corporate bailouts don't seem to be hindering the chains, mind. It's sh*t.

Look at the US stock markets, they've blown up because of money printing and most of that money went into the FAANG (Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google) stocks and also Tesla etc.

It defies reality because no company bar maybe Amazon has really increased it's revenue to justify this.

There will probably be an almighty crash next year

It was announced last night that hospitality has little chance of opening before 1st February in Belgium.

However shops will re-open on the 1st of December, which is great!

But I can’t help thinking that ikea opening its doors to thousands of people on a daily basis & those people touching all the products & surfaces, is any safer than a little restaurant following good protocols?

100% agree. My local caffeine slinger closed her doors a couple of weeks ago because she couldn't get enough people in to cover the overheads. It just wasn't worth it anymore. Superior product. Local business. Doesn't have the clout to demand a bailout and said she was just too far along in years to keep jumping through the regulatory hoops, and that's even considering that our restrictions are practically insignificant compared to yours.

This is just a small window into the knock on effects that are coming from the arbitrary conditions that the authorities are experimenting with. It's a damn shame and the full effects won't be realised for a while yet. If a vaccine would have prevented this I'd have happily taken one if it would have prevented this, and future decimation of the community.
