Looks a belter that mate. I said when my old lurcher has gone i wouldn't bother with another though i would be tempted if some one bred them like this type . I kept a mix of this breeding years ago and was happy with them they were also easy to live with.

Be good to see some of these tried and tested types make a good comeback. I know there are some people that still keep and work these types, but most lads these days, unless they are really 'into' lurcherdome, for want of a better phrase lol, will mostly have had saluki and bull crosses thrust upon them.

Anyway, just musing. ?

You got a new pup mate?

No mate.....mines nearly nine....bed/whip x collie/grey/ whip

I should have known when I picked her up as a pup, all the other pups were investigating the garden, mine wouldn’t venture far out due to the wet grass......nothings changed. I didn’t think about it at the time,,,,it just dawned on me one day when I was looking back.

Shes the same when it rains, until she’s thoroughly soaked and starting to warm up, she must really feel the cold wet rain, often she just sits down.......all changes once she’s totally soaked though.....comes to life.

I still to this day don’t think I’ve seen her run full speed. Been a challenge due to her sensitive nature....too sensitive for me, but the last two years she’s been like a totally different dog and has become more out going which is nice to see.

It’s a cross I would have again, but I’d spend more time picking my pup for sure.

the one I had before this one couldn't stand water. she was a hard little bitch would stand any weather but wouldn't have water. yet this one will drop into a stream, brook etc to get underneath brambles and other cover. I suppose they are all different.
