Ferreting with saluki types

Anyone using heavily based saluki dogs for ferreting? 
how are people finding them and experience?

I had one. He wasn’t bad for his size. But there not bred for it. He didn’t have the blistering take off speed, and was a bit big for hedges. But his hunting brain made up for it though. Caught a lot of ferreted rabbits with him, more than my beddy/whippet so far. 
if you’ve got a coursing dog then definitely take it ferreting... but don’t buy one for a ferreting dog, if you catch my drift.

there was a member of this site years ago from up caithness way ...who had pure salukis that he took ferreting...he did quite a few short vids....think his name was merrihunter
