21tts, had a good long working life.

Very versitile dog caught all sorts with him. Always seemed to punch above his weight..

Don't get me wrong little dogs have there limitations compared to a big dog but you will be surprised what a little dog can achieve. IMG_3121.PNG.337f6d548326cc2e3dedda007b2fbd90.PNGIMG_1465.JPG.76688bde93462d2a0bb209a558750d1a.JPGIMG_1344.JPG.5a3e464bccf8ea6f5d5526c671cdfc96.JPGIMG_0629.JPG.737be4d9a68fdc36256a1cf2fa82bf18.JPGIMG_0787.JPG.c6ca196ad625adc2b44a4a783d0eb89c.JPGIMG_0778.JPG.b6b58e29df61eceb2c5f0e36384d71f3.JPG

Love the look of that little dog of yours mate. Something like that be ideal.

I offered him out at stud once and no one took me up on the offer. I soon realised that there are a few people breeding for looks alone instead of ability.

9 or 10 seasons I ran him for and I can honestly say he has seen a hell of a lot of work.

I wish I could get him from a pup again.

That was a pup out of him off the only litter he has sired.

As long as they what the owner wants from them that’s all that matters really watever cross they are

That’s a fair point. But then they need to be Totally honest with people who are looking to pay decent money for a pup from them if they breed.

Since I joined this forum I have enjoyed reading posts for this little dog. I’m the same, can’t understand why nobody took you up on the offer for a stud dog.

Those pedlars who are only out to make a buck won’t ever be honest everything they knock pups out of will be world beaters , you only av to look at the prices pups are selling at now to see why they breed out of anything and you can bet they won’t be keeping a pup back for themselves ?

Amazes me how everyone is collie and bedlington lurcher mad.....not that there is anything wrong with them, but for daytime mooching the springer in  there brings so much to the table.....no doubt they wouldn’t be for everyone. From a very young age mine showed a difference in her approach in the field to other lurchers and breeds I’ve worked. Don’t get me wrong she’s the only springer lurcher I’ve worked and maybe I just got lucky, but I went down this route for a reason. Most lurchers I’ve worked don’t hunt well enough for my liking, used to see old grannies walking pet springers that would hunt my worked lurchers inside out.....that’s why I wanted springer in there. Problem is you rarely see them advertised, mine was a mistake mating. If someone’s ferreting or lamping all the time, yes you’ll find a better lurcher for the job, but for daytime mooching dog....mine will take some beating.

does she hunt and mark charlie mate?
