Hi lads unfortunately my grandad passed away in april, a week after he passed we got his dads records through the post  , here is a sample I'm struggling with, is D squadron sas or could it be something else? Any info greatly appreciated

D squadron would denote in my eyes an armoured role 

think squadrons denoted by numbers are typical of that regimentv

With a quick interrogation of That pal itv would read to me more of an raf record 

1st line station is Raf cranwell 

2nd is 806 squadron

3rd contains flight 

4th is ringway which was the airport near Manchester airborne forces were trained at 

hope tbaT helps
