FOXHUNTER 5,020
6pm last night I received a text from my mate "what you up to " . It turned out that he had seen a fox the previous day on his shoot. So arranged to meet him at 7.30. Set up on some bales and started with the cub call , 6 mins in and a dog fox came in nicely . 5 mins later with the vixen mating call and a vixen came up the track behind us through the hedge and into the field , no 2 in the bag . Continued calling and a 3rd fox appeared but a long way off and lost sight of it but was sure it was on it's way in. After what seemed an age it came out of a game crop and headed to the caller but unfortunately just went behind a rise in the field and no shot available. It just sat and I tried every call I could to get it to move but it just wouldn't budge Anyway as I was playing this fox another showed on the track to our left , another vixen joined the others. Meanwhile the other fox was just sat totally unconcerned, so we decided to try and sneak up on it but no luck as it was very light last night. Great night with 4 called from the same spot and 3 taken. 9 Quote Link to post

Not my foxes these were on a mates shoot. I was talking to one of my farmers and he told me about another 100 acres I can go on so will have a look there soon 1 Quote Link to post
