you know i think its the opposite ....i think the cars today are far more technical to drive....back then there wernt to many restrictions and cars were just gears brake throtal steering wheel ...and go as fast as possible....

look at yesterdays race....hamilton first his team mate botas ....was where...same car

the cars are more technical so they are easier to drive

The fact is I don't think the british public like him that much.i don't think they will celebrate his achievements.i don't even think the british public are proud of him at all.

I might be wrong of course.but I can't see him being able to stand shoulder to shoulder. and be liked with the old greats of motor sports that are british.

I couldn't care less about Hamiltons colour, race, religion, political views, and to be fair, F 1 comes fairly low on the list of sports I'm interested in, it's just he comes across to me as a not very likeable chap, much as I thought James Hunt was also a bit of a prat.

Cheers.

No i didn't mean or hint at him not being british.

An example is say lennox lewis who has dual citizenship ship between the uk and Canada.

He moved there at age 12 but I think the british public liked him more than the british public like hamilton.

Like I said I might be wrong but he doesn't seem to well liked here in the uk..

Lewis was never revered over here like Frank Bruno.

I don't understand why people seem to think a man being good at the job he's paid handsomely to do can't be an insufferable prick too.

Nobody has said that really have they?

If we're being honest here he was never really embraced by the British public well before him speaking out on BLM issues.
