camping/glamping pods

Recommended Posts

The way i see it,having a rented house you may get 900,1000 a month, for a 300,000 grand investment, take out all the agro, maintenance, agents fees, your not really much better off.(been thier before).so if i build 8 pods, even i spent 100,000 which is over doing it.they fetch 750 for 7 days.i know its not all yr but it seems a better return for your money

I built a 20x14 shed and all kingspanned then lined out with 1/2inch ply and all made out of 3x2 tannilised frame and 1 inch thick log lap only cost me £1800 or a bit less. But to buy one that size was £5,500

And better built I bet mate .With the jigs they use to mass produce the joints are only pinned never screwed .A bespoke shed wins every time .building firm is getting into timber framed houses extensions which arrive on low loader but the first fix is shocking in some we’ve seen .

I've built and run a glamping site from scratch. Building it is one thing, getting it signed off and up to spec for use by the public is a whole different matter. Running costs are huge and so is competition. If you are genuinely interested drop me a PM

I no a farmer that has a couple of them dotted around a little lake on decking with a hot tub outside and he’s charges about £150 a night so not long to get you 20k back ?

Few farms round my way done the same ,easy money and like you say £150 a night soon cover the cost .

See your box profile sheeting on the roof. You just screwed that straight onto the sheeted osb below ? I'm doing one just now and have run 3x2 on top of the sheeting to make a gap if that makes sense?

Its tongue n Grove on top i used that breathable felt then run some 4x2 around the edge just sat about 5mm proud of the roof to make a small air gap not sure if that's the right way tho ha
