my hunting season 2020/21

1st sept its legal to start baiting on crown land.

 

got one camera out already on mates land,just set up another for the forestry up north

It’s been mad since beginning of September 

with hunting/bating etc

i haven’t posted as much as I normally do

 

 

Probably going out for a deer this weekend if I can get in anywhere

On average, how much meat would you get of a moose. 

Any turkey hunting around you?

I was hoping for that moose

then I would be sorted for probably 2 years

I have given some elk  away already and will be giving some deer meat away if I manage to drop one.

keeping the back straps and getting more sausage made is the plan

It's a pity you didn't get the chance, but hopfully the rest of the season goes your way.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing about future hunts.

Deer down

sat with me mate for 4hrs in the blind. We had to snowmobile across the fields.

we were chatting away as we haven’t seen each other for a month, I looked up and there is this young buck just wrecking the willows with his rack. Neck shot 100 yards folded him.

I will dig the round out tomorrow.

i shot a similar buck a fair few years back with a similar rack. So the genetics are still around
