Gnipper; I've watched that much you tube about Every aspect of IBC's and filters ... That's why I've totally sickened of it and came here to ask you guys. Asking a few straight questions and reviewing straight answers? I've probably got as far, this afternoon, as I have in Months of watching fukking videos!

I have the whole, physical set up all planned out, mate :) Yes, it is a snapper. And, yes, I saw all this coming, years before I even bought the fukker. It wasn't an impulse thing. He's gone through four tanks, since I got him, barely the size of a 50p coin.

Now? He's fukking fantastic! :D About ten inches shell, both ways. Head on him like a porn stars cock! Only half grown?! I love him!

But, yeah; I'm going to build a wooden enclosure round the IBC. I'll show pictures, in due course. The cupboard, which'll house the filter? Top of that will form his basking spot. He'll have a glass window to watch me through - he Loves watching me! He's like a fukking dog!

DO they bask? Famously said not to. But, we don't blindly accept what ever we hear, do we? I've seen that some, given the opportunity Love a bask! He'll have that opportunity  The space will be there, anyway. I'll just add a lamp :)

:D Bear; Bless him! That dear little thing looks almost the size of my monster! But, this shit house casually shoved a single claw right through the silicone of one of his tanks! Just because!

Three in the morning. I glance over my shoulder to see a jet of water spurting out of a three foot fukking tank! Oh, That was a great fun night, I can tell you!

Oh and; I opened the tap on my IBC, yesterday? Label says molasses. Mate said he'd used it for water. What trickled out was definitely neither! Couldn't quite nail it. But, it was a chemical, petrol sort of smell?

I now want to get it cut open and get in there to do some serious washing and scrubbing.

my problem is silt in the deeper areas, the pond has a natural bottom and now about 18" of crap, I was wondering if I could pump it through a trap to catch the muck and let water run back in, I thought all the carp died last summer but this year this lot appeared, from a pound  down and they have grown nicely through the summer, any thoughts on the silt much appreciated cheers.
