trapperman 474 Posted August 21, 2020 Report Share Posted August 21, 2020 I found an old leather waistcoat that I had many years ago when I was clearing out the garage, I don’t want to chuck it as it was quite expensive it’s gone a bit hard but hasn’t cracked yet I’ve read that castor oil is quite good to soften it but just wondering if anyone has any other advice ? cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I’ve found it’s good for softening dried out leather . I use it on game bag straps and gun slips and any leather which starts to crack . ATB Quote Link to post Share on other sites
